Historically the ILS Group’s team has experience in providing services including life saving to a number of high profile water parks and resorts throughout South Africa including Sun International, Tsogo Sun, u’Shaka Marine World, Mafunyane Water Park Old Mutual Property and Wild Waves Water Park at Wild Coast Sun.
Our management team commenced at the original water park, Waterworld in Durban when the Steyn developed the first water park in SA. From early beginnings our experience in the industry has spread nationally and to the Indian Ocean Island resorts and to water parks in the Middle East.
Internationally our personnel have been used by a number of resort groups to train locals in the field of lifeguarding, provide rescue equipment and establish standard operating procedures specifically tailored to suit local conditions and company parameters. Previous projects include Sun International Mauritius (all hotels), Beachcomber Group Mauritius, Seychelles Lifesaving Brigade, Botswana Peermont Group, Namibia Lifesaving, Kerzner International at Aquaventure Water Park, Atlantis Palm Island, Dubai and Wild Wadi Waterpark (Jumeirah Group) also in Dubai UAE.
In the tourism development stages in Dubai our management was associated with Wild Wadi, Jumeirah Beach where we sourced, trained and implemented 150 lifeguard, medic and management personnel. Aquaventure Water Park at Palm Island, Dubai contracted our management to source qualified manpower during set up and development prior to their opening. In 2020 our team was contracted to erect and manage a floating water park along the Red Sea coast in Saudi Arabia as a pilot project to develop tourism in the region.
Our experienced management team have also been associated with the development and operation of Wild Waves Waterpark in the Eastern Cape as well the Riverside Mall Waterpark in Nelspruit.
